Okay, besides the fact that I’m living out of a suitcase again (#NotAsGlamorousAsItSounds), this time I’m travelling purely for pleasure. My son Angelo is in his final year of school and plays for his school's 1st Hockey Team. His school is ranked Top 3 in South Africa—so yes, no pressure at all as they battle to push their rankings even higher! 😅
They're currently playing in a huge tournament in Port Elizabeth, and guess what? I'm there, screaming from the sidelines like a proper sports mom.

Alright, back to the juicy stuff...
This week, I hosted a training session with a team of seriously experienced massage therapists—think 5 to 10 years working in luxury 5-star spas. You’d think there’s not much left to teach them, right?
Well, I called the session:
“How Not to Be a Robot”
(Yes, they laughed at the title too.)
We kicked things off with a role-play—how they take a client in, perform a treatment, the whole shebang. And then the BIG realisation hit us all...
😳 Most of our treatments have become copy-paste. Robotic. Scripted. Predictable.
It was honestly scary. But also so empowering.
Here’s what two of the therapists had to say:
Queen (three years in the industry) said: “this training was both frightening and UNBELIEVABLE. Frightening in that Marisa showed us how robotic we are and if we carry on like that our jobs will be replaced by robots. An then UNBELIEVABLE because she taught us step by step how not to be replaced by a robot. Marisa you are our shining light, our job savers literally, thank you thank you thank you”.
And Hazel (ten years in the industry and senior therapist) said: "I cannot believe the awakening of this training. I'm so energised and so inspired and that my brain is buzzing and I know for sure that I WILL NOT BE REPLACED BY A ROBOT!!!!!
